GB/T5224 Steel strand is a prestressed steel strand produced in accordance with the national standard GB/T5224. It is twisted from multiple high-strength galvanized/smooth steel wires. After stabilization and tempering treatment, it has extremely high tensile strength, low relaxation performance, compact structure, good flexibility, and is easy to construct. The product is mainly divided into 1×7 structure, which is the core material of prestressed engineering.

The product has stable mechanical properties, qualified elongation and strong load resistance. It is divided into two categories: ordinary relaxation and low relaxation, and can provide surface types such as smooth, galvanized, and epoxy coating. It is widely used in prestressed concrete projects such as bridges, high-rise buildings, long-span factory buildings, slope support, foundation pit anchoring, prestressed pipelines, nuclear power plants, railway sleepers, water conservancy dams, etc. It is suitable for prestressed tension load-bearing scenarios. It is not recommended to be used directly in strong corrosive unprotected conditions. Galvanized or epoxy-coated steel strands are preferred in corrosive environments.
