X42 Carbon steel round bar is a pipeline-grade carbon hot-rolled round bar made of pipeline steel X42 and complies with API 5L standards. This grade has moderate strength and good low-temperature toughness, excellent welding performance, and strong strain resistance. It is suitable for welding, machining, forging and other processes. X42 was originally used in oil and gas transmission pipelines. Round bars of the same material are often used as raw materials for pipe fittings, flange blanks, connecting components, and petroleum equipment parts.

The product has a solid circular cross-section and is delivered in conventional hot-rolled black leather. Surface treatments such as pickling, peeling, fine turning, and anti-rust oil coating can be provided on demand. The base material does not have its own anti-corrosion coating, and can be spray painted, galvanized and other anti-rust treatments later. It is widely used in oil and gas engineering accessories, pipe flange blanks, mechanical structural parts, pressure vessel ancillary components, mining equipment parts, etc. It is suitable for normal and lower temperature working conditions. It is not suitable for strong acid, strong alkali and severe marine salt spray environments. Corrosion scenarios require anti-corrosion protection.
